I have been marketing coastal Maine Real Estate since 1986. I had owned and operated my own real estate company until 2002. I then teamed up with another company for 10 years that had a history of strong marketing skills. This added to my background, educating, strengthening and rounding out my selling and marketing techniques. In 2013 I went back out on my own and formed Charlene’s Coastal Properties, everyone knew me as just “Charlene”, hence the name I went with. I studied finance and accounting in addition to courses at Harvard on Commercial Real Estate and Property Developments.

I have been a multi-million dollar top producer with a strong emphasis in the hospitality industry. Having personally owned and operated businesses in this field gave me the “edge”, and additional insight into the properties, resulting in getting the highest price for properties that I marketed and sold.

New Condo Developments; another area I have been deeply involved in. To my credit are:

  • Summerwinds (2013- 2015) – A 53 unique cottage condo resort development – sold 40 in a little over 2 years.
  • Seaside Village (2010) – 5 Unit apartment conversion to Condos – Sold
  • Sand Dollar Condos (2006) – 4 Units, listed & sold within six months!
  • DyNoMite (2005): Commercial/Office Condo – Leased

I have lived on the water front in southern Maine since 1983. This gives me a solid understanding of properties located on or near the shore, providing firsthand knowledge, and giving confidence to both sellers and buyers.

I raised two amazing sons in this area, who have gone into the medical profession and real estate law. Spending time with them is my greatest pastime, whether at the Maine coast, or the Caribbean sailing & surfing.
